We are seeking a detail-oriented, thorough, and organized Tableau developer to join our team. In this position, you will use your skills to create and maintain dashboards and visualizations in support of our customer onboard NSWC Corona.

What You’ll Get to Do:

  • Develop and maintain Tableau dashboards and reports to support business needs

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and understand data visualization needs

  • Design and implement data models and data structures for optimal performance

  • Conduct data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights

  • Create interactive visualizations and reports using Tableau Desktop

  • Optimize Tableau dashboards for performance and usability

  • Troubleshoot issues with Tableau dashboards and provide solutions

  • Stay up-to-date with Tableau best practices and new features

More About the Role:

  • The position requires working collaboratively with government personnel on site to identify, develop and maintain dashboards and visualizations using Tableau in support of the US Navy.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • 3+ years' experience in development and/or design in a business intelligence environment (e.g., Tableau, Google Analytics, Microsoft Excel)

  • 3+ years experience in building dashboards and reports using Tableau Desktop or other BI tools (e.g., Power BI)

  • 3+ years experience in building visualizations using Tableau Desktop or other BI tools (e.g., Power BI)

  • 1+ year(s) experience building dashboards using Power Query or other SQL tools (e.g., SQL Server)

  • Strong proficiency in Tableau Desktop and cloud, including creating complex calculations, parameters, and filters

  • Experience working with large datasets and data manipulation using SQL

  • Adding of Creating Dimensions, Measures and Calculations

  • Developing Workbooks and Hyper Extracts on Tableau Desktop

  • Performing Data Modeling in tableau Desktop and cloud

  • Publishing Workbooks and Data Sources to Tableau Development and QA sites

  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and methodologies

  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies

  • Proficiency in Hadoop ecosystem (Hive, HBase, Spark) is a plus.

  • Experience with RESTful APIs for data integration.

  • Strong analytical skills to analyze complex datasets and identify trends and patterns.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues with Tableau dashboards

  • Knowledge of shell scripting for automation tasks is a plus

  • Providing Tier 1 support for Tableau issues reported by departmental or group personnel.

  • BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or Analytics field

  • Must be a U.S Citizen

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$69,100 - 141,500 USD
