County of Montgomery Business Analyst in Norristown, Pennsylvania

SUMMARY

The Business Analyst is responsible for supporting, maintaining, developing and aiding in evaluating solution and technologies for different County departments. This individual will assist in the interactions and projects between Information & Technology Solutions (ITS) and multiple County departments and agencies. The Business Analyst goal is understanding, apply and be proficient and in understanding how different applications work for the departments they support. This individual must also ensure ITS delivers solutions that enable these departments and allows them to become more productive

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Proficient with different Database Technologies (SQL server, Access)'
  • Able to learn new systems and software solution, both "off the shelf and in-house systems;
  • Able to install, configure and support multiple applications for a 100+ users;
  • Must have excellent communication skills, both written and oral. Candidate is expected to keep their manager informed at all times;
  • Must be proficient at prioritizing problem resolution between the client and vendor and/or ITS analyst/developer team;
  • Able to work independently;
  • Able to manage all aspects of waterfall or agile projects;
  • Proficient at Helpdesk tasks, problem solving and crisis resolution;
  • Proficient in vendor relationships and contract reviews;

``` - Orders 1099 forms each December, and assists print shop technicians with printing, sealing, and mailing 1099 forms each year at the county's print shop. - Checks in with all of their assigned departments regularly; - Regularly works appropriate helpdesk tickets that affect members of their assigned departments; - Assists the county's Infor System Administrator in supporting and managing the county's cloud-based financial system on a daily basis; - Regularly mans the InforGoLive email inbox for incoming end user issues/enhancement requests regarding the financial system; - Performs user configuration and activation in two financial system tenants (PRD and TST); - Sets up internet shortcuts for new users and introduces them to how to login to the financial system and access UAP training documentation; - Troubleshoots end user financial system issues; - Assists with scheduling PRD to TST refreshes and analytic system upgrades. - Coordinates meetings with the county's core financial team; - Verifies analytic cube reloads/refreshes are functioning on a weekly/daily schedule, respectively; - Receives purchase order email notifications daily and forwards them to the appropriate contacts; - Assists/supports implementations and integrations with the financial system such as  Courts Document Management/PSI, NeoGov, OpenGov, LeaseQuery, PCard; - Meets and works daily with the financial system vendor on various topics (open tickets for system issues, open tickets for end user issues, open projects/integrations/implementations); - Attends online financial system customer forums to see what new features are coming in a future cloud updates; - Triages helpdesk tickets/logs and updates tickets with the financial system's ticketing portal and works them to resolution; - Receives appropriate approval to assign security roles within the financial system; - Assigns Requesting Locations to the appropriate Approvers within the financial system for requisition process flow; - Installs/configures Infor ISD tab within Microsoft Excel for the appropriate end users; - Assists with Infor ISD template/upload issues; - Coordinates and supports end user training/workshops with CFO, county ITS trainers, and Infor trainers; - Suspends and resumes budget edit queue when necessary for county Finance Department; - Regularly notifies and updates end users regarding specifics of planned cloud maintenance, unplanned outages and system issues; - Assists with end user report customization and facilitates special report requests; - Troubleshoots system errors/financial processes with end users and Infor support techs.

  • BS Computer Science or equivalent experience;
