An Engineer is needed for a research-driven biopharmaceutical company in the North Chicago, IL area. This role involves supporting the development and scaling of lyophilization and related manufacturing processes, conducting experimental lab work, analyzing data, and collaborating with team members to achieve project goals, requiring technical skills, scientific knowledge, and effective communication abilities.

responsibilities:
Support the experimental lab work for freeze-drying and related manufacturing processes.
Conduct lab experiments, analyze collected data, and summarize observations.
Assist in scaling up manufacturing processes from lab to commercial scales.
Perform engineering analysis using heat and mass transfer principles.
Analyze processing and analytical outcomes, providing scientific explanations.
Characterize products using multiple analytical instruments.
Partner with team members to ensure project goals are met.
Skills:
Training at the scientific graduate/postgraduate level in relevant fields.
Knowledge and experience in lyophilization manufacturing processes and heat/mass transfer.
Experience in process control and monitoring for continuous improvements.
Demonstrated excellence in scientific and technical contributions.
strong technical knowledge and application of concepts and practices.
Ability to collaborate effectively in diverse groups.
Effective communication skills in oral, written, and presentation formats.
Education:
Degree in Ph.D. or
M.S. with experience in lyophilization and related manufacturing processes.
