JOB OVERVIEW
The Quality Assurance Officer will work under the general supervision of
the Program Manager in support of the development and implementation of
quality assurance measurements, audits and assists in improving
recruiting and retention processes throughout the Strength Maintenance
Training Battalion (SMTB). The Quality Assurance Officer will display
the core values of integrity, innovation, accountability, collaboration,
and service. The individual must display the ability to make executive
decisions quickly, communicate effectively, and maintain professionalism
at all times.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Monitors, performs and manages quality assurance processes including
those supporting compliance to regulatory and/or accreditation
standards.
- Develops, coordinates and administers end of course surveys for risk
identification of training deficiencies.
- Assist the Battalion Commander, Director of Training, and the
Professional Education Center (PEC) as directed by the PM in
assessing the quality of training and leader development at the SMTB
by conducting:
- Pre-accreditation self-assessments
- Course evaluations
- Other assessments and evaluations as necessary or required
- Analyze and recommend possible improvements for all SMTB training
programs in accordance with the Accreditation Standards in the Army
Enterprise Accreditation Standards (AEAS), AR 350-1, TRADOC
Regulation 350-18, TRADOC 350-7, and PEC policies & directives. All
recommendations will be submitted to the Commander, COR, Director of
Training and QAE Monthly using the Share Point Quality Assurance
Report.
- Monitor Assist and coordinate with PEC QA in performing Quality
Assurance Evaluations to assess the institutions compliance with
Army Enterprise Accreditation Standards (AEAS) in accordance with AR
350-1 and AEAS standards found at http://www.wood.army.mil/mqao/AEAS
- Conduct Army Learning Model analysis on SMTB Training to predict and
evaluatestudent achievement and recommend both academic and
non-academic improvements to TSPs; including interactive student
learning activities supporting 21st Century Soldier Competencies
- Draft and conduct End of Course Surveys via SMTB SharePoint or other
designated methodology for internal and external feedback at the
completion of each resident and non-resident course.
- Conduct proponent SMTB Self-Assessments in accordance with PEC QA,
Headquarters (HQ) TRADOC, and TRADOC Regulation 350-70 in
preparation of TRADOC Accreditation.
- Report to PM and work with CME Team Leads on advance determination
of shortfall and steps needed for improvements or corrective actions
prior to formal reports or assessment(s).
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor\'s degree, or equivalent experience
- At least 5 years of applicable experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent understanding of training development and instructor
development processes and best practices
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
- Work is usually performed sitting at a desk, in conferences,
briefings, meetings, etc. Individual experiences typical ergonomic
physical demands associated with heavy daily personal computer
usage. No special physical demands are involved in performing the
work.
- The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts
requiring normal safety precautions in typical office settings. The
work area is adequately lighted, heated/cooled, and vented.
