WHAT YOU WILL DO:
The Senior Director, Operations Excellence has direct oversight and responsibility for ensuring safe, efficient, and effective chemical manufacturing operations for the North Little Rock and Kieler plants. Job performance will be measured and appraised annually against defined Key Result Areas for this position. Some of these metrics will include, but not be limited to:
· Oversee all aspects of chemical manufacturing operations: safety performance, production planning, production execution, and product packaging at both SF manufacturing sites.
· Lead the SF Chemical Operations Team to meet target production quantities, cost, quality, and other Key Performance Indicators. Supports opportunities for growth and conceives and oversees the implementation of savings opportunities.
· Serve on and works closely with SF Management team to set and implement policies and procedures concerning SF operations.
· Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures.
· Ensure the efficient and effective use of SF chemical operations assets.
· Work with the Regulatory Compliance group, ensures chemical operation’s compliance with all pertinent regulations, such as but not limited to EPA, FDA, OSHA, DHS, CFIS, IBC, et al.
· Oversee Quality Control team to ensure they perform their duties by following established quality procedures.
· Manage the analysis/inspection of raw materials and final products to ensure compliance with set specifications.
· Set, implement, and execute internal/external quality requirements to ensure company products/services meet customer expectations.
· Manage in-process adjustments and non-conformances.
· Oversee process development, design, and process safety group to improve operational performance, expand production capability, and support our “remote” equipment / operations at customer facilities
· Other duties as assigned.
YOUR MUST HAVES:
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Bachelor’s degree in related field.
10+ years of Chemical Operations experience.
Experience in managing a diverse organization across multiple locations
Knowledge of quality control (QC) and how to integrate into daily operations
Extensive process optimization, development, and design experience
WHAT WE PREFER YOU HAVE:
4-year degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Operations Management. A technical degree is preferred.
5 years of management experience in plant operations (Chemical manufacturing setting is preferred).
Ability to read, analyze, and understand common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, process and instrument drawings, and legal documents.
Respond to complex or difficult inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
OUR ENVIRONMENT:
The work environment includes a combination of a quiet office and manufacturing environments. Periodic standing, setting, pushing, pulling, carrying or lifting materials up to 25 pounds can be required. Personal Protective Equipment (“PPE”) must be worn in applicable settings. Some third shift and travel work may be required depending on customer/business need. If so, physical requirements can change to include, but not be limited to, expected exposure to wet, hot, cold, requiring Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in our plant manufacturing environment.

Occasional (role requires this activity up to 33% of the time (0 - 2.5+ hrs/day)
Climb & crawl. Lift/Carry 51+ lbs & push/pull 41-100 lbs.
