Locally-Owned Drapery Showroom Seeks Principal Design Consultant!

We're seeking a Principal Design Consultant who not only loves designing beautiful interiors but also thrives on the excitement of closing deals. If you’re a goal-driven, money-motivated individual who can balance creativity with strong business skills, we want to meet you!
Compensation & Benefits:
Flexible Compensation: Choose between a base salary plus commission or commission-only pay.
Earning Potential: In your first year, you can earn $60,000-$75,000, with no cap on your success. By the second year, your earnings could grow to $95,000-$110,000+!
Benefits Package: Includes Paid Time Off (PTO), holiday pay, and training compensation.
Lead Generation: Benefit from a steady flow of leads from walk-in traffic, call-ins, and aggressive marketing campaigns to help build your client base. You’ll have the tools to develop your own book of repeat and referral clients as well.
What You’ll Do:
Client Consultations: Conduct engaging virtual, showroom, and in-home consultations to specify window coverings, upholstery, accessories, and furnishings for our high-end clients.
Design & Communication: Manage client relationships, create design scopes, and expertly guide clients through the design approval process.
Project Coordination: Prepare detailed paperwork and design specifications for fabricators and manufacturers, ensuring your designs come to life with precision.
Sales & Networking: Utilize provided leads and expand your network to generate referral accounts and establish a strong community presence.
Must-Have Qualifications:
Sales Expertise: Minimum of 3 years in a sales role with a proven ability to drive sales and a genuine passion for the sales process.
Tech-Savvy: High proficiency in CRM systems, quoting, drawing software, and other digital tools, as our company is entirely paperless.
Design Background: Strong foundation in interior design or decorating. Experience with upholstery or soft window treatments is a big plus.
Travel Flexibility: Ability to travel between Sacramento and the San Francisco Bay Area.
Physical Capability: Comfortable lifting up to 30 lbs. for managing showroom samples and transporting design materials.
