Medtronic’s Diabetes campus in Northridge, CA is looking for a Product Development - Project Management Specialist. You will have responsibility in our technical functions to advance existing technology or introduce new technology and therapies. Formulates, delivers and/or manages projects assigned and works with other stakeholders to achieve desired results. The majority of time is spent delivering R&D, systems or initiatives related to new technologies or therapies – from design to implementation - while adhering to policies, using specialized knowledge and skills.

A Day in the Life
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
Leads or leverages cross functional teams to evaluate, develop and manage projects for new product development and ongoing lifecycle management of products, processes and therapies.
Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.
Manages the development and implementation process of a company’s products and services involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products and processes.
Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports.
Monitors the project from initiation through delivery.
Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
Gathers requirements, works on requirements planning, requirements elicitation and requirements management to ensure they meet demands of project’s key stakeholders.
Communicates with stakeholders, obtains stakeholder engagement to ensure the end products or processes will solve the business problems.
Must Have: Minimum Requirements

Bachelors degree required.
Minimum of 2 years of relevant Engineering, Manufacturing or Project Management experience; or advanced degree with a minimum of 0 years relevant Engineering, Manufacturing or Project Management experience.
Nice to Have
Advanced degree in Engineering or Statistics discipline or Masters in Business Administration (MBA)
Past engineering experience in Medical Device Manufacturing
Experience in the application of statistical methods for improvements in product performance
Lean Manufacturing experience, Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) / DRM or similar methodology
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, and the ability to interact with all levels of employees.
Familiarity with FDA and ISO standards
Experience across the entire product lifecycle.
Project Management experience (PMP Certification preferred).
Experience in MS office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Basic understanding in business and financial acumen
Project Management skills (capacity analysis, resource planning, meeting management)
Knowledge of PMI processes
Familiarity with DMAIC process
Good Communication skills

The provided base salary range is used nationally (except in certain CA locations). The rate offered is compliant with federal/local regulations and may vary by experience, certification/education, market conditions, location, etc.
