Bariatric Surgery NP/PA Opportunity at Norwalk Hospital in Connecticut (One hour from New York City)

Norwalk Hospital, part of Nuvance Health, is seeking a Nurse Practitioner and/ or Physician Assistant to join our Bariatric Surgery team at Norwalk Hospital. The ideal candidate will be board certified with previous experience in the surgical setting.The position follows a Monday through Friday schedule with mostly outpatient coverage. No evenings, weekends, or call.Norwalk Hospital is located about one hour outside of New York City in suburban Fairfield County, Connecticut, nearby to Westchester County. We offer a highly competitive compensation package, including allowances for CME/Dues and CME time.

The ideal candidate will be a board certified Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant with previous surgical setting experience and looking to join a dedicated and collegial team. This position requires a minimum formal education of Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant training, State of CT license, and Federal DEA and CT Controlled Substance Registration. We offer a highly competitive compensation package, as well as allowances for CMEs and Dues.

Norwalk Hospital has been accredited in Bariatric Surgery for 16 years, and for the last 10 years, by the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program (MBSAQIP).

Norwalk Hospital is a 366-bed community teaching hospital in coastal southwestern Connecticut. One of the oldest established ACS verified level II trauma centers in Connecticut, Trauma/Acute Care coverage is provided 24/7 by our team of board certified Surgeons and Surgical Physician Assistants, in addition to the PA residents training in our nationally renowned Surgical PA Residency Program. Teaching surgical PA students, residents and rotating medical students is an important part of our Surgery Program.

Norwalk Hospital is ideally situated in Fairfield County, Connecticut, along the Long Island Sound. The city of Norwalk is rich in cultural diversity and offers many venues for 4 season outdoor and indoor recreation. There are highly rated public and private schools and universities in our area. $105,000.00-$150,000.00 ANNUALLY (COMMENSURATE WITH EXPERIENCE)
