DNV GL HR Advisor in Norway-Høvik, Norway
We are seeking an HR Advisor for the Nordic region in DNV.
If you join us, you will become part of a team of HR professionals who supports 2,600 employees in the Nordic region. We are 10 HR Advisors and 2 Labour Law Advisors who deliver customer centric and efficient advisory services to our customers in all DNV’s business areas, enabling them to achieve their business goals.
You will serve as a consultant to management, including HR Managers in the business areas. The successful HR Advisor acts as a GSS HR ambassador to their assigned business areas and a change agent within GSS HR to ensure services are being delivered efficiently and effectively. The role forms partnerships across GSS HR to deliver value-adding services to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization.
As HR Advisor you will:
Consult with line management and BA HR to provide timely HR guidance and advisory
Support business in recruitment processes, including interviews and psychometric testing
Manage and resolve employee relations issues, involving experts within GSS HR as necessary
Maintain an effective understanding of the assigned business areas' organization, strategy and activities
Maintain generalist knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance
Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation
Provide support with planning and implementation of business unit restructures
Lead or support on various regional and global programs and projects
To maximize your chances of success in the role, you:
Hold a relevant university degree
Have at least 3-5 years of experience from operational HR
Have competence within some of the following subject matter areas: Recruitment, employee relations, change management, compensation and benefits
Have a consultative approach and are used to guide and advise managers and employees at all levels in the organization
Possess a positive attitude and customer centric mindset
Cooperate well with others and share information, knowledge and experience to achieve common goals
Adhere to the “growth mindset” philosophy and can influence and foster a constructive feedback culture
Have excellent written and verbal Norwegian/Scandinavian and English skills
