Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Senior Accountant in Franklin/Oak Creek, Wisconsin. The role involves a combination of education and professional experience to ensure the timeliness and accuracy of accounting tasks in the manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for day-to-day general ledger accounting and reconciliation, financial reporting and analysis

• Prepare and post journal entries for month-end close

• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations

• Maintain and report on fixed assets

• Produce monthly financial statements

• Prepare sales and marketing financial analysis

• Perform accounting research and determine correct application

• Identify, suggest, and implement process improvements

• Maintain a written manual of procedures for area of responsibility

• Support interim and annual financial statement audits

• Research discrepancies and recommend resolutions

• Perform any other duties or responsibilities as requested by Manager

• Working knowledge of GAAP and multi state tax laws

• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word primarily, Epicor, Avalara, Sage FAS, and other relevant software.

• Account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, bank reconciliations, general ledger management, and journal entries

• Management of month end close activities, month-end financial, month-end reports, and monthly account reconciliation.

Requirements • Proven experience as a Sr. Accountant with a minimum of 5 years in the field.

• Proficiency in key accounting skills such as Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations.

• Demonstrable knowledge of General Ledger management and Journal Entries.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting.

• Experience in handling Month End Close activities, including Month-end Financial reporting and Month-end Journal Entries.

• Familiarity with Monthly Account Reconciliation.

• Proficiency with various accounting software like NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, Epicor, Epicor Erp, Avalara, and Sage FAS.

• Strong organizational and analytical skills.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and detail orientation.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

• A relevant degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Professional accounting certification, such as CPA or CMA, would be advantageous.

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Strong ethical standards and a high level of integrity.
