The Utilities Electro- Mechanic Technician is responsible for executing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and corrective actions within our facilities, including Chillers, HVAC systems, Boilers & Steam systems, Compressed Air, Water systems and Electrical systems. This role requires a hands-on approach and the ability to execute troubleshooting, corrective actions, and preventative maintenance to ensure Utilities systems operate safely, in compliance with quality requirements, and has limited downtime.

  • Execute electrical and mechanical preventative maintenance, inspection, and corrective actions on Utilities equipment.

  • Troubleshooting on electrical and mechanical machinery problems and making necessary repairs.

  • Perform electrical and mechanical equipment breakdown analysis implementing solutions to increase reliability of equipment.

  • Recommend improvements and modifications to production machines.

  • Documenting completed work and the conditions found and analysis, utilizing Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

  • Interacting regularly with peers and management to pursue continuous improvement of machinery operations.

  • Execute maintenance troubleshooting and equipment improvements by reading and comprehending electrical schematics, blueprints, and/or operation manuals.

  • Monitor and manage utility equipment using the Building Management System (BMS).

  • Capable of knowledge sharing in terms of equipment maintenance good practices through work instruction review, one point lesson development and perform training for maintenance and operations team.

  • Follow safety procedures, recommended practices, LOTO, job safety analysis (JSA), safe work permits, and comply with plant safety programs at all times.

  • Execute the maintenance routines following the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and quality compliance.

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • High School graduate or equivalent

  • Electrical or/and Mechanical trade school certification or degree in a maintenance-related field, or relevant military experience

Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • 3+ years (recent/consistent) in Industrial Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance environment. ​

  • Ability to perform electrical and mechanical routine service, setup, adjustment and repairs of manufacturing mixers, high-speed packaging lines and palletizer system.

  • Rebuild spare equipment and parts (e.g. pumps, gear reducers, homogenizers, valves, pneumatic components, conveying equipment and mechanical drive systems).

  • Have knowledge of lubrication best practices and bearing installation, troubleshooting and precision measurement.

  • Knowledge in using hand tools, electrical meter, and testing equipment

  • Ability to interpret electrical prints and schematics and produce as-built drawing for work performed.

  • Can read mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, P&ID schematics and drawings.

  • Basic troubleshooting of Alarm system, Access control, HMI and PLCs.

  • Strong working knowledge of job site safety with the ability to thoroughly evaluate job hazards and complete job safety analysis with an emphasis on identifying electrical hazards and proper safety procedures, handling low to high voltage up to 480 VAC.

  • Technical understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to be able to review and maintain facility related GMP documentation.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

  • Flexibility to work on-call or overtime as needed.

The salary range for this role is: $67,259 - $92,481annually
