Robert Half Nuclear Services Controller in Oak Ridge, Tennessee

Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Controller based in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. The role involves managing a team, overseeing various financial processes, and reporting to the VP/Corporate Controller, primarily within the Government/Environmental industry. This role will require a strong understanding of accounting or finance, with a focus on budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and review journal entries, reconciliations, month-end close, and billing processes

• Perform analysis of revenue recognition, budgeting, rolling weekly forecasting, and KPIs for various projects

• Review direct billing based on contracts, and conduct financial analysis and variance analysis

• Ensure SOX compliance and assist the management team with examinations for financial reports

• Utilize various software systems including ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning, Microsoft Excel, and Dynamics SL for accounting functions

• Manage accounts receivable and auditing processes

• Oversee budget processes, budgeting - forecasting, and company revenue recognition

• Adhere to DFARS and federal government reporting requirements

• Use 10 Key Skills for data entry and financial tasks

• Assist with SEC reporting and footnote disclosures.

Requirements

• Must have a minimum of 5 years experience as a Controller

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems required

• Knowledge of DCAA is a must

• Experience with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Familiarity with ERP Solutions

• Ability to handle Accounting Functions

• Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Knowledge of Auditing processes

• Experience in Budget Processes

• Proficiency in Rolling Forecast and KPI Reporting

• Understanding of Company Revenue Recognition

• Knowledge of SOX - Sarbanes-Oxley compliance

• Experience with Footnote Disclosures

• Proficiency in SEC Reporting

• Experience in Budgeting - Forecasting

• Ability to perform Budgeting tasks

• Experience in Variance Analysis

• Ability to conduct Financial Analysis

• Knowledge of DFARS

• Familiarity with Dynamics Sl and MS Dynamics SL

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• University Degree required

• CPA Designation is a must

• Experience with Federal Government Contracts

• Knowledge of Federal Government Reporting
