Job Title: Environmental Project Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and dedicated Program Manager to work with federal, state, and local government on planned and emergency response projects nationwide. This role requires experience in supporting investigation and remediation for CERCLA and/or RCRA sites. Your duties will include preparing, implementing, and overseeing cost estimates, progress reports, staffing, and invoicing. You will manage multiple projects involving hazardous materials and be responsible for drafting various sized technical reports. You will be tasked with managing a heavy workload with multiple project teams, planning project elements, and ensuring the compliance of health and safety protocols for projects and work sites. This role also requires a strong leader who can mentor others to build successful project teams.

Qualification

  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of professional project management and environmental science experience.

  • Must have prior experience in project management in the environmental industry with demonstrated experience conducting site investigations, remedial investigations, and practical field experience performing multi-media sampling including groundwater, soil, and soil gas.

  • Experience preparing a variety of technical reports including technical specifications, health and safety plans, air sampling plans, survey plans, and oversight reports.

  • Experience developing work scopes and preparing proposals.

  • Strong leadership skills and ability to mentor those with less experience to build a successful team.

  • Problem solving and management skills with the ability to clearly and concisely communicate with colleges, clients, project teams, contractors and sub-contractors. Highly motivated,client focused, and works well in a team environment.

Work Site

This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Oakland, California and some days remote.
