Our Public Sector Proof-of-Concept/Demo Lab Team supports our clients by designing, provisioning, operating, and demonstrating leading edge client solutions spanning numerous technologies including: wireline, wireless, cybersecurity, and Internet of Things (IoT).
AT&T has an opening for a Principal Solutions Architect to support clients across Government and Industry and enable AT&T Sales Executives by providing design, operations, and presentations of technology proof-of-concept/technology demonstrations of AT&T and Trusted Partner capabilities.
The Principal Solutions Architect leads proof-of-concept and technology demonstration activities of the Oakton Virginia Lab and Public Sector Technology Showcase at the Washington DC Forum, including testing and development of customer demonstration environments; proof-of-concept environments; and solutions development environments.
Leads capabilities demonstrations during joint sales meetings with customers and direct sales teams.
Provides technical support in sales presentations, product demonstrations, and installation and maintenance of company products to ensure the system is functioning according to specifications.
Leads technical discussions in client meetings across multiple levels and disciplines to identify business and technical needs, issues and priorities.
Assumes leadership role in analyzing customer requirements and providing technical knowledge, systems integration and expertise to design and implement appropriate solutions using company products and services. Accountable for the technical validity and interoperability of solution and/or the direct relationship with the customers strategic business plans.
Formulates responses to customer inquiries/questions concerning the most complex system software and applications, and provides software development and consultation to prospective users.
Understands, develops and delivers products/services/systems/solutions to customers business, information, technical and educational needs.
Designs technical solutions involving new and emerging technologies.
Possesses a unique mastery within the Company of leading-edge or complex technologies, relevant disciplines, theories or techniques.
Considered the Subject Matter Expert on company products/service/systems/solutions and determines best approach to resolve critical issues. Assists less experienced peers.
Duties directly related to enabling sales include:
Meeting with customers and engaging in sales activities at the customers site; communicating with customers via phone, teleconference, e-mail, etc. related to proposed solutions/sales, etc.
traveling to and from the customers premise for the purpose of engaging in sales activities
providing subject matter expertise regarding technical issues relating to sales
advising customers on suitability of products based on technical needs
preparing proposals, presentations, or bids, including developing pricing, developing strategic plans.
None required at time of hire, but must have ability to be cleared at a Top Secret level in the future is desired. (#clearable)
Minimum BS in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics discipline (or a related field) and IT Consulting / Product Demonstration experience focused on IT Labs / Proof-of-Concept Environments or 10+ years of demonstrated experience in lieu of BS degree. 5+ years of relevant experience providing technology briefings and interacting directly with Senior Government Officials
Experience with Wireless/Wireline network technologies.
Knowledge of Cybersecurity technologies and methodologies.
Knowledge of Internet of Things (IoT) sensor technologies and deployment models
Willingness to travel (Approximately 20%)
