Title: Operations Project Manager

Job Objectives :

Essential Job Functions :
Promote safety first in all actions.
Project Management
Maintain Project plans and timelines
Responsible for analyzing financial results and predicting the future performance of the company, including forecasting revenue and expenditures.
Establish KPT based dashboards with existing software or through procurement efforts from third-party providers.
Provide ROI and use cases around potential vendor opportunities.
Develop, Document, and Implement Standard Operating Procedures (dispatch process, user guides specific to UPT usage.
Implement process change and champion change management.
Lead efforts to implement new operational software tools.
Operational point of contact for vendors, to include troubleshooting issues and escalating unresolved issues.
Assist in delivering training and recurrent training to company associates.
Audit and maintain quality control of the implemented processes.
Monitor, review, and direct change on internal business processes.
Work with subject matter experts within the organization to achieve improved efficiencies and quality of work.
Participate in the I.T. Steering Committee as it pertains to Business Support Group needs, expectations, priorities, and deliverables to internal and external customers.
Use networking resources within industry on best practices.
Manage customer-driven processes involving EDI (Macropoint / 4 Kites software.
May requisition supplies and materials to complete, enhance, and deliver.
Report weekly on projects, status updates, identifiable problems, customer related concerns, etc. to the VP of Ops and / or Steering Committee
Additional Responsibilities:
Carries out duties assigned by Vice President of Operations as required.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications for Consideration :
High school diploma, Bachelors degree in business administration, management, or engineering preferred.
Three-years experience as a project manager in transportation industry or relevant experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of DOT regulations, federal and state standards
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple processes and projects
Self-starter with detail-oriented work habits
Able to maintain confidentiality
Display professional demeanor
Good interpersonal skills; able to work well with wide range of individuals
Demonstrate dependability through good attendance and adherence to timelines and schedules
Thorough computer skills, specifically in Excel, Great Plains accounting, and others.
Knowledge of basic company employment policies and procedures
Physical Requirements:
Sitting for long periods of time, walking, finger dexterity, feeling, repetitive motions, and talking, hearing and visual activity.
Occasional lifting (up to 20 pounds).
Working Conditions:
Normal office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and copier/printer/scanners.
Estimated 50% travel or as deemed necessary.
