As a Senior Advanced Project Engineer here at Honeywell Aerospace Technologies (AT), you will play a critical role in leading and executing advanced projects that drive innovation and excellence in the aerospace industry. Your expertise in project management and engineering will be instrumental in delivering high-quality products and services to our customers. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, establish clear goals and deliverables, and ensure successful project execution. Your leadership and technical guidance will drive continuous improvement and efficiency in project delivery, while maintaining strict adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements. You will report directly to our Olathe Electronic Solutions Engineering site Leader and you'll work out of our Olathe, Kansas location.

In this role, you will impact the aerospace industry by leading and executing advanced projects for the Honeywell Anthem Next-Generation Avionics Systems. Your contributions will directly influence the development and delivery of high-quality products and services to our customers, ensuring their satisfaction and maintaining our position as a leader in the industry.

Honeywell Anthem is breaking new ground in Avionics design and the pilot-machine interface, with the goal of making pilots’ jobs easier and safer and essentially allowing pilots to configure their own cockpit based on mission and phase of flight. Our new revolutionary integrated Anthem Flight Deck offers unparalleled levels of connectivity, an exciting and intuitive user interface and a highly scalable and customizable design.

Join our team of innovators as we design, develop and deploy cutting-edge hardware solutions for Honeywell Anthem Next -Generation Avionics Systems. You will be a key member of our Olathe Electronic Solutions Engineering group, responsible for designing, developing and supporting production for cutting-edge avionics technology that enhance the situational awareness and decision-making capabilities of pilots.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead teams in development of proposals, statements of work and associated cost estimates

  • Serve as the technical point of contact for customers and the program manager.

  • Define and implement project scope, objectives, deliverables, prepare schedules and resource forecasting in Microsoft project.

  • Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to timelines and budgets using Earned Value Management (EVM) metrics.

  • Lead a robust risk management process to identify and mitigate risks and issues that may impact project delivery.

  • Contain scope growth though robust baseline change management.

  • Coordinate and communicate with stakeholders to provide project updates and address concerns.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project management processes and practices.

    U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

    Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.

    YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Engineering or a related field.

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in project management and engineering in the aerospace industry.

  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and drive collaboration.
