Role responsibilities:

  • The day to day running of the nursery

  • Ensuring Ofsted Statutory requirements are met.

  • Ensure safeguarding and welfare requirements are met at all times.

  • Assist in recruitment of staff

  • Support the development of existing and new staff within the setting.

  • Showing around prospective parents will be a vital aspect of your role

  • Being passionate and enthusiastic about the setting.

  • Managing and monitoring the occupancy of the setting using marketing techniques to promote the setting.

  • Effectively managing budgets.

  • Design and implement an effective curriculum and support, coach and mentor the team in the delivery.

  • Ensure policies and procedures and company expectations are embedded within the nursery

  • Support the nursery with growth and ensure occupancy is a focus.

Requirements:

  • Minimum level 3 qualification in child care

  • At least 2 years experience in nursery management.

  • Able to demonstrate competence in meeting the developmental and emotional needs of the children

  • Hands on approach in the day to day childcare and willingness to lead by example

  • Strong customer focus and excellent interpersonal skills which meet and exceeds the expectations of the parents and the company.

  • Can work on own initiative by being self-motivated.

  • Ability to work within a wider team

  • Knowledge in health and safety and safer food better business guidelines

  • Able to time manage self and team.

  • Have strong I.T skills and able to use or willingness to use multiple computerised systems.

  • Strong skills in literacy and numeracy

Salary: From £32,000 - negotiable depending on experience.
