Position Overview

The Kiewit Supply Network Continuous Improvement team is responsible for the design, build, and support of automated processes for a variety of functions in Procurement as well as Process Improvement and System Support and Analysis for varying technology used by the Procurement Team. As Continuous Improvement Analyst , you will be responsible for working with functional managers and subject matter experts to analyze existing processes, design automated solutions, test the completed automations, and assist in the maintenance of deployed automation solutions. You will work with a variety of business process owners/subject matter experts from multiple areas to analyze and design process automations. Your success will be measured on your ability to enhance and maintain existing process automations, working alongside the developers in a collaborative environment to build and test process automations.

Location

This position is based out of our District Home Office located in Omaha, NE. The ability to travel between office and project locations is required.

Responsibilities

• Re-design business processes as appropriate to function optimally in an automated state

• Facilitate process review sessions

• Generate detailed and accurate functional design documents utilizing the SIPOC model

• Collaborate effectively with Developers during the build of RPA solutions

• Support robust testing of automated processes: develop detailed test plans, provision test data, execute test plans, and communicate test results

• Provide status updates on all active automation projects in a timely manner

• Identify stakeholders impacted by process changes and support relevant communications/change management

• Establish and maintain relationships; collaborate effectively with internal and external partners

• Provide excellent customer service to all internal and external departments; understand Kiewit’s core business and promote a sense of urgency toward business-critical issues

• Contribute to the monitoring and support of automation solutions

• Assist in post-automation assessments

• Partners with Business Customers to understand business challenges and advise on possible solutions; translates into clear system requirements and acceptance criteria

• Demonstrates ability to analyze current state and understand the problem to be solved

• Understands customer processes and how they do their work through observation and interviews

• Plans, creates, and maintains necessary test cases in accordance with internal best practices utilizing their system knowledge and understanding of technical solution to be implemented

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Supply Chain, Data Analytics or related field

• Experience with SAP preferred

• Proficient in Microsoft Office software applications; particularly Excel and Word

• Experience with designing/automating processes and supporting testing of automated processes desired

• Experience writing functional design documents and test plans, desired

• Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment; adapt rapidly to changing conditions and balance multiple projects at various stages

• Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiative

• Analytical thinker; able to break down complex problems into solvable components

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; includes effective, timely, and appropriate communication; ability to clearly convey messages and ideas, gain understanding, generate interest, and hold attention, listen and be open to the ideas of others

• Ability to understand and analyze business processes and systems and guide functional teams through process evaluation and restructure

• Ability to identify and understand the interrelationship among processes, risks and controls

• Excellent collaboration and relationship building skills, including the ability to gain buy-in and support from various business teams and to facilitate an open-minded approach to process improvement by all stakeholders
