POSITION OVERVIEW:
ProTrain is currently recruiting for an experienced Live Online instructor with experience teaching Electronic Health Records (EHR) course. Student will be prepared to sit for the NHA national certification exam to become a Certified Electronic Health Record Specialist (CEHRS).
Candidates must have experience teaching in a classroom or/and in a synchronous environment, as well as have a minimum of 3 years in an Electronic Health Records field.
This is a part time; contracted teaching position to begin immediately. Future classes will be available to the right candidate.
Course Day/Time: July/August
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
In Classroom Instruction
Describe electronic health records and explain their role in the medical office.
Identify the major phases of EHR implementation and the components of the EHR framework.
Explain the formats used in record management and describe the patient management process.
Explain how to manage patient examinations and treatment using electronic health records.
Identify the components of effective patient communication using electronic health records and computer software.
Describe the coding and billing process using electronic health records.
Explain the relationship between electronic health records and research, registries, and reportable events.
Explain the process for developing, maintaining, and accessing personal health records and continuity of care records.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum 3-5 years teaching experience
Teaching certification preferred
Minimum 3 years in related field of study
Must adhere to weekly class schedule
