Job Title: Lab Analyst
Job Description
Mix water, detergents, and/or acids in containers to create cleaning solutions as specified.
Rinse, dry, and sterilize glassware and instruments.
Scrub walls, floors, shelves, tables, and sinks.
Fill tubes and bottles with specified solutions and label them accordingly.
Arrange specimens and samples on trays for placement in incubators and refrigerators.
Deliver supplies and lab specimens to designated areas.
Maintain inventory reports and logs.
Prepare and maintain bacteriological media and chemical solutions, ensuring proper labeling, handling, storage, use, and disposal, including autoclaved and hazardous waste.
Use a grinder or other equipment to homogenize, extract, or otherwise prepare samples for analytical testing.
Weigh samples and record values in logs.
Assist in managing priorities and schedules to achieve individual and team goals.
Ensure personal and others’ safety within the work area.
Complete required training.
