Description
We are seeking a Senior Accountant in Omaha, Nebraska, for a CPA Firm. This role involves tasks such as account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and general ledger maintenance, among others.
Responsibilities:
• Reconciliation of account balances to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial statements
• Conducting balance sheet reconciliations to verify the correctness of reported amounts
• Performing bank reconciliations to ensure all financial transactions are recorded
• Maintenance of the general ledger for accurate financial reporting
• Preparation and posting of journal entries to record financial transactions
• Utilization of Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial reporting
• Participation in the month-end close process to ensure timely reporting
Requirements
• Proficient in Account Reconciliation
• Experience with Balance Sheet Reconciliation
• Capable of performing Bank Reconciliations
• Knowledge of General Ledger operations
• Ability to process Journal Entries
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with Month End Close procedures
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proactive approach to problem-solving
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, or equivalent experience
