Location

We are open to this person working out of our Omaha NE office or Westlake TX office. This role is on site and 100% remote options will not be considered.

Responsibilities

Kiewit’s communication team that specifically supports our projects is searching for a talented and experienced video production specialist with experience in shooting video, strategic storytelling, editing and post-production, preferably in Westlake, TX or Omaha, NE. Some experience or an interest in learning motion graphics is desired.

The successful candidate must be a motivated and fast learner, capable communicator, and highly organized to be able to manage multiple projects and responsibilities at once. Experience in graphic design, video editing and project management will be crucial. Kiewit demands a person with high attention to detail and excellent time management skills to consistently meet deadlines and drive projects forward. Primary responsibilities include:

• Project manage all aspects of video production, including pre-production, confidently directing, shooting, and editing for various internal and external purposes

• Ability to work with individuals at all levels of the organization

• Lead all aspects of video projects, including storyboarding, design, and animation

• Prepare video files for internal distribution across multiple platforms

• Brainstorm design ideas and concepts to deliver forward thinking messages

• Supporting a variety of important video projects including leadership messages, training videos, etc.

• Assist with special communication projects as directed by leadership

• Partner with Kiewit’s Corporate Communications team on special projects as needed

Qualifications

We are seeking a creative video production professional with a degree in visual arts, video production, journalism or a related field of study. The following are basic qualifications for the role:

• 3+ years previous experience with professional video production

• A portfolio of recent work will be required

• Highly proficient with peripheral technology, especially DSLR cameras and video equipment, and experience with lighting and audio equipment is strongly preferred

• Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro and After Effects; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)

• Blender 3D animation preferred, but not required

• Strong writing and client-relations skills with high attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate with both immediate team members and clients

• Ability to think creatively and collaborate on internal and external teams

• Ability to multitask and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

• Desire to learn and adapt to new communication and design principles, tools and technologies

• Understanding expectations and willingness to ask questions, combined with a high level of motivation and enthusiasm to learn

• Ability to travel 25% of time to other Kiewit offices and project sites
