Bureau Veritas is looking for a
Laboratory Technician – Environmental Pre-processing
As a Laboratory Technician, your responsibilities are:
To provide general support in the pre-processing of samples and perform certain analysis
General lab support including sort and distribute, pre-processing of samples, weighing and analysis.
Ensure that cross contamination/labeling between samples and other materials does not occur.
Use summary reports to plan and organize work.
Prioritize jobs according to Rush and client specific deadlines.
Follow all laboratory safety rules and regulations.
Follow SAIL and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure accuracy and quality of work.
Keep their work area clean, neat and organized.
Provide support to other members of the section.
Retrieve samples required for reworks or customer/ lab requests.
Other responsibilities as assigned by their supervisor.
You are an ideal Laboratory technician if you have [Minimu Requirements]:
You possess a College Diploma.
You have basic computer skills.
You have a positive outlook with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
You possess good time-management, communication, multi-tasking and priority setting skills.
You are able to work both independently and as part of a team.
You are detail-oriented and possess record keeping skills.
You learn quickly.
You are able to adapt to a changing environment.
You are able to lift and carry up to 40lbs.
All candidates must be flexible to any shift changes as well as weekends
