Direct Support Professionals establish safe and favorable living
conditions in group residential home settings. DSP\'s assist people in
living freely and achieving their full potential by offering both care
and support. DSPs provide a variety of in-home support by assisting with
food prep, domestic tasks, medication administration, financial
management, community access, doctor visits, job search, and moral
support. DSP\'s assist with mobility, eating, drinking, toileting,
hygiene and personal care as needed. Hire requirements: Employment

Diploma or equivalent. Valid driver\'s license, proof of insurance and
clear driving record. Dependable and reliable with excellent attendance.
Physical Requirements \' Ability to transport residents and safely
operate vehicles and equipment. \' Assist with transferring, toileting,
and feeding fragile individuals with disabilities. \' Safely and
effectively respond to maladaptive behaviors. \' Frequent walking and
use of steps both indoor and outdoor. \' May sit or stand for extended
periods of time. \' Ability to grasp, bend, reach, push, pull, and lift,
push, pull a minimum of 50 lbs. \' Communicate effectively both verbally
and in writing. \' Work with common household chemicals and cleaning
equipment. \' May work around and provide care for house pets. Work
Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is
working indoors and out in the community. There is a high level of
activity and interaction with a variety of people with diverse needs.
Must be able to respond to maladaptive behaviors positively and safely.
Must be able to work independently and work evenings and weekends to
