Job Description
Danfoss is looking for a Lead Engineer will be defining Product Architecture and Reuse strategy and setting Technology direction for design and platform solutions across Product portfolio / Product families. Ensuring the right trade-off between commonality and variance across verticals and tiers
Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.
Define the functional deployment within the Product family/ies; including architectural decomposition, and module & interface definition.
Collect and process (and challenge if needed) architecture-relevant input from key stakeholders in the organization about e.g., product specifications and manufacturing strategy.
Prepare map of modules to be developed in accordance with desired product offering and internal constraints.
Ensure the integrity of the Platform through alignment and decision making in e.g., Architect Forum/Fora
Ensure creation and maintenance of Platform documentation — and making it visible and understood for the organization.
Participate in relevant refinement meetings with Product and Development team to support backlog breakdown and sprint planning.
Follow and influence Technology development (ext. + int.) and outline technology solutions in Product Teams
Background & Skills
The ideal candidate possesses these skills.
A Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a specialized area can be advantageous.
At least 7–10 years of experience in mechanical engineering.
A minimum of 3 years in a leadership or managerial role, overseeing engineering teams or projects.
Proficiency in mechanical design principles, CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, or Creo), and simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS).
Proven track record of managing complex engineering projects and leading cross-functional teams.
