Position Announcement
The UVU Campus store is seeking an Assistant Textbook Buyer to help provide students with the textbooks and course materials they need. This position will give you the opportunity to support students in their educational success by providing them with excellent customer service as they come to our store for their textbooks. As an Assistant Textbook Buyer, you will also be an important member of the campus community as you communicate with professors and department administrators to help build book lists each semester.
Schedule:
• Monday-Thursday 9:30-6:30 with an hour lunch
• Friday 8:30-5:30 with an hour lunch
Summary of Responsibilities
• Coordinate with department administrative assistants to obtain textbook orders from faculty across Campus
• Offer customer support to students and faculty regarding both physical and digital course materials
• Coordinates with third party service provider (VitalSource) to operate an Equitable Access course materials program.
• Hire and supervise student employees at the store in the work of ordering, receiving, and selling course materials
• Assist with inventory control operations at the Campus Store using the inventory management software
• Close the bookstore daily as Manager in charge
Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited institution with an associate's degree plus one year of experience related to the Summary of Duties or any combination of education and experience related to the Summary of Duties totaling three years.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous retail experience.
Experience with Banner Operating System, NetSuite Inventory Management System, and Canvas Learning Management System

• Skills in administrative, communication and organization.
• Skills in operating computers.
Abilities
• Ability to communicate with faculty, staff, students, etc.. with diverse understanding and needs.
• Ability to be self-directed and proactive when accomplishing assignments.
