HVACR Apprenticeship Lab Instructor
Location: Orem, UT
Status: Part-time
Hours: Monday - Thursday, 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. (6-12 hours a week)
Pay / Hourly: $30.25
SUMMARY
As the HVACR Apprenticeship Lab Instructor, you will mentor and train apprentice-level HVACR students in a hands-on lab setting. You will work closely with the program coordinator and other instructors to ensure that lab projects reinforce classroom learning and provide students with the skills required to excel in the HVACR field. You will also coordinate the use, upkeep and maintenance of the lab.

HVACR LAB INSTRUCTOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Coordinate with other apprenticeship instructors in order to prepare the lab for instruction/projects.
Coordinate the scheduling of lab use with other apprenticeship instructors.
Maintain a list of lab equipment.
Repair or request replacement of lab training equipment.
Ascertain new equipment and supply needs for lab.
Teach lab lessons or assist other instructors in the teaching of lab lessons.
Maintain a clean and orderly lab.
Ensure that all lab safety and organizational procedures and protocols are known and followed by instructors and students.
Assist teachers in administering practical tests in the lab.
Notify Program Coordinator of order requests for depleted instructional materials.
Submit necessary work order requests to Facilities.
Perform other teaching and lab-based functions as needed.
HVACR LAB INSTRUCTOR QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
Good communication skills.
Maintain a clean and orderly lab.
Perform other teaching and lab-based functions as needed.
Expert knowledge of HVACR training equipment
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Spreadsheets
HVACR LAB INSTRUCTOR REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent required
Expert knowledge of HVACR curriculum
A minimum of 2 years of experience in the HVAC industry
RMGA and EPA certified.
