For our Global EHS Centre of Excellence we’re looking for an Industrial Hygiene & Occupational Health Manager : in this role you will cooperate with the EHS teams working in our European Country Groups, safeguarding high standards of EHS compliance and workplace adherence, monitoring emerging risks relative to employee health impacts and act as a Global SME - you will be providing support on all health related topics impacting the various Country Groups in Europe.

To be successful in this role you must be a triple threat: confident, results driven and good with people. As a IH&OH manager you will be happy to roll up your sleeves and work both on technical topics as well as influence and support EHS professionals among the various European Country Groups on industrial hygiene and occupational health projects and activities.

EHS ACTIVITIES

  • maintain high standards of EHS compliance with a focus on IHOH

  • monitor emerging risks relative to employee health impacts

  • monitor evolutions of specific chemical and physical agents impacting O-I at a global or regional level (i.e. nickel and silica regulations across all European countries and EU)

STRATEGIC ACTIVITIES

  • develop effective relationships with Country Group EHS leaders in Europe

  • work shoulder to shoulder with our Global EHS Centre of Excellence

  • lead the development of global programs and procedures

Like all global-based roles in our company, a small amount of domestic and international travel will be required. Your area of responsibility will be the European countries where O-I has active operations: Italy, Hungary, France, Spain, UK, Netherlands, Germany, Czech Republic, Poland and Estonia.

  • An Industrial Hygiene or Occupational Health certification

  • At least 3-4 years of experience leading IH and OH activities and projects at national level

  • A solid experience in manufacturing companies

  • Fluent English - any additional European language is a plus

This role could be fully remote, and could be based anywhere in Europe. Occasional activities in O-I offices and/or plants however are to be expected, ranging from a few hours of on-site work to several days
