Make a difference in the lives of others by joining the employee team at the spacious Sportsplex Health & Fitness facility! Aside from it's state of art fitness center, the Sportsplex features a variety of fun, health and fitness oriented activities for visitors of all age groups. This includes an enormous climbing wall, basketball/volleyball courts and soccer fields!

Our Sportsplex facility currently seeks a responsible, enthusiastic/outgoing individual(s) as a part-time Rockwall/Gym/Party Attendant(s). These positions are year round positions.

Key Responsibilities

These positions will provide instruction of climbing, belay, and rappelling techniques to a wide variety of age groups and skill levels, including entry (kids – adults) level, skill development and competitive teams for the Climbing Wall. New hires in this role that don't have climbing/belay/rapelling skills will learn on-the-job and have the knowledge to enrich their everyday lives.

In addition, these positions will also be the designated party host for climbing and sports parties at the Sportsplex. As the party host, you will provide activity instruction to guests, coordinate party room activities, and ensure your guests have fun! For climbing parties, you will provide instruction on the Climbing Wall. For sports parties, you will provide instruction of game basics for various sports including soccer, volleyball, basketball, baseball, flag football, etc.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills

Prior climbing experience isNOT required,new hires can learn on the job. Incumbents will learn how to maintain skills certification and demonstrate proficiency in the instruction of ropes, knots, harnesses, climbing, belaying, and rappelling. Prior experienceor knowledge of any sport is helpful.

Instructors must show high enthusiasm for the sport and be capable of demonstrating good judgment and problem solving techniques.

Previous leadership, and/or team experience preferred. Must enjoy working with children and have a passion for customer service. Approximately 10-15 hours per week. MUST be available Monday – Friday 4pm to 7pm and Saturday and Sunday hours starting at 11am. Hours will vary based on party bookings.
