Required Skills:
Proven experience in data engineering with a strong understanding of ETL processes, data warehousing, and data integration.
strong SQL skills and experience. Ability to perform efficient querying including use of subqueries, Indexes, views, stored procedures, and functions.
Proficiency in programming languages (ex. Python).
In-depth understanding of modern database and data technologies, including but not limited to data architecture, data modeling and database management.
Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Expertise with data solution development, while establishing best practices and standards.
Experience in influencing adoption and utilization.
Extensive experience with data management and data visualization tools: Tableau, PowerBI, MicroStrategy, Snowflake etc.
Practical experience using agile methodologies. Experience with variety of software delivery methodologies (ex. Agile: Scrum, Lean, etc.)

responsibilities:
Data Architecture: Design and implement scalable and robust data architectures, data models, and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to support data ingestion, storage, and retrieval.
Team Leadership: Mentor a team of data engineers, providing guidance, technical expertise, and fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
Data Integration: Integrate and transform data from various sources, including but not limited to databases and APIs, to ensure data consistency and accuracy.
Data Quality: Implement data quality assurance checks, validation processes, and data governance standards to maintain data integrity.
Performance Optimization: Continuously optimize data pipelines for efficiency, scalability, and reliability. Monitor system performance to proactively address issues.
Tool Selection: Evaluate and select appropriate data engineering tools, frameworks, and technologies to meet business requirements and stay up to date with industry trends.
Security and Compliance: Implement data security measures, access controls, and compliance standards, to protect sensitive data.
Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, analysts, software engineers, and stakeholders, to understand their data needs and deliver data solutions.
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of data processes, systems, and configurations to ensure knowledge sharing and maintainability.
Project Management: Oversee data engineering projects, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation, to ensure on-time delivery.
