About The Role:
The Field Technician is pivotal in ensuring testing is completed properly within specification.
Responsibilities:
Collect and conduct testing of soil, concrete, and other construction materials to project specifications.
Ensure that all testing equipment used is functioning properly, maintained, and calibrated.
Complete and submit timely paperwork, reports, and presentations.
Communicate with dispatch, field supervisors, and other stakeholders for status reports, issues, etc.
Maintain an assigned company vehicle (schedule oil changes, check fluid levels, inside/outside upkeep).
Report to job sites on time, follow all safety protocols, and enter work time daily.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
Valid driver’s license, with acceptable driving record.
1-3 years of related experience in a field/outdoor, physically demanding setting.
Basic computer literacy. Microsoft Office and Field Data Collection (FDC) software, preferred.
Obtain ACI Level I Certification and/or Earthworks Construction Inspection Certifications in a reasonable time.
Adaptability and flexibility to changing schedules and hours to support business needs.
Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to read, write, and interpret procedures, manuals, technical documents, and reports.
Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and customers/clients to carry out instruction.
Mathematical skills sufficient to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
