About The Role:

The Field Technician is pivotal in ensuring testing is completed properly within specification.

Responsibilities:

  • Collect and conduct testing of soil, concrete, and other construction materials to project specifications.

  • Ensure that all testing equipment used is functioning properly, maintained, and calibrated.

  • Complete and submit timely paperwork, reports, and presentations.

  • Communicate with dispatch, field supervisors, and other stakeholders for status reports, issues, etc.

  • Maintain an assigned company vehicle (schedule oil changes, check fluid levels, inside/outside upkeep).

  • Report to job sites on time, follow all safety protocols, and enter work time daily.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.

  • Valid driver’s license, with acceptable driving record.

  • 1-3 years of related experience in a field/outdoor, physically demanding setting.

  • Basic computer literacy. Microsoft Office and Field Data Collection (FDC) software, preferred.

  • Obtain ACI Level I Certification and/or Earthworks Construction Inspection Certifications in a reasonable time.

  • Adaptability and flexibility to changing schedules and hours to support business needs.

  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.

  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Ability to read, write, and interpret procedures, manuals, technical documents, and reports.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and customers/clients to carry out instruction.

  • Mathematical skills sufficient to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
