Robert Half International Full Charge Bookkeeper in Orlando, Florida

Description Robert Half has an excellent opportunity for a Full Charge Bookkeeper with a company in the detail oriented Services industry. You will be responsible for all general accounting and bookkeeping functions, such as preparing financial statements, and establishing and maintaining accounting principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives. The Full Charge Bookkeeper position is a long-term contract / temporary to full-time opportunity in Orlando, Florida.

Your responsibilities in this role

  • Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable; handling collections as needed

  • Overseeing accounting clerks and entry-level bookkeepers

  • Ensuring monthly, quarterly and year end close happens accurately and on time

  • Studying and adhering to federal, state, and local legal requirements, filing reports, and detailing needed actions to management

  • Completing bank and general ledger reconciliations; processing payroll

  • Producing the trial balance and financial statements, including, but not limited to, balance sheet and statements of income and of cash flows

  • Maintaining historical records by filing documents

  • Preparing depreciation schedules by tracking fixed assets Requirements - Background in payroll preferred

  • Capable of working independently with minimal oversight

  • Outstanding skills in analyzing financial data and promptly generating accurate reports

    • Excel and Peachtree experience a plus
  • Proficient in accrual and cash basis of accounting

  • Possess strong organizational and follow-up skills

  • Ability to multitask and communicate effectively with individuals of all backgrounds

  • Strong familiarity with Bank Account Reconciliation

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Balance Sheet Reconciliation

  • Proven knowledge of Intercompany Accounting

  • Well-founded grasp of Multiple Entities

  • eComm experience

  • Command of Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation

  • Practical knowledge of QuickBooks

  • Real estate experience preferred

  • General familiarity with general ledger

  • 3+ years of bookkeeping experience

  • High school diploma or comparable diploma with an AA degree or higher in Accounting or Business preferred

  • Show the ability to adapt and learn new techniques and skill sets when required
