Summary

The Implementation Project Manager is responsible for owning the pre-production process, tools, documentation, communication, and hand-offs for all events that do not have a dedicated Execution Project Management team assigned. The Implementation Project Manager will have involvement the majority of Event Technology events. This fast-paced and challenging role requires successfully managing competing priorities and timelines. This role is responsible for the planning of General Sessions, Meeting Rooms, Show Management Areas, and General Exhibits.

This position will support our Audio Visual & Event Services team. It is eligible to work a hybrid schedule, generally requiring work in-office and/or show-site 2-3 days per week. The ideal candidate will be based out of Orlando, FL.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Pre-Production Customer Collaboration

  • Pre-Production Growth Team Collaboration

  • Identifying Customer Needs as it relates to budgeted equipment and services

  • Collaboration with the Project Design Team to communicate customer expectations such that

  • Project Design Team has defines expectations of requirements to optimize design and engineering plans for each event to the customers’ expectations and budget

  • Creating and managing event pre-production workflow and communication through project management application (i.e. Workfront)

  • Collaboration with the Event Tech Logistics and Warehouse team on timelines and schedules.

  • Collaborate with the Digital Services Lead and Streaming Lead (if needed) team to ensure a transparent, collaborative, and supportive integration with virtual offerings.

  • Making initial contacts and arrangements with facilities regarding the upcoming event

  • Collaborating with National Labor for the appropriate staffing of the event

  • CAD work and drawing version control throughout the design and planning phases of the production roadmap for all assigned areas

  • Facilitate and lead the handoff to the team executing the event onsite

  • Lead all pre-production, production, and pre-con meetings as needed

  • Lead post event internal debrief

  • Other duties as assigned

Education & Experience

  • Combination of 2 or 4 year degree/certificate (Post high school) in Event Production/Project

  • Management or work experience

  • Trained in customer service

  • (1) one or more years in managing projects

  • (5) five or more years’ experience in show production

  • Proficient 2D & 3D Vectorworks skills
