Job Description : Oshkosh Defense, LLC, Oshkosh, WI, is seeking a Sr. Functional Safety Engineer. This position is responsible for establishing the safety case for selected feature sets and support building an overall vehicle level safety case. Accountable for coordination and reviews as well as for the technical guidance of the platform team in accordance to the ISO 26262. Lead Functional Safety activities of various features within the Next Generation Delivery Vehicle (NGDV) Program. Provide guidance and expertise in functional safety to project teams. Tailor and develop functional safety best practices and process guidelines to support the NGDV program needs. Support integration of functional safety into the systems engineering tools and infrastructure. ASIL work package tailoring with respect to assigned Safety Goals/Safety Requirements. Participation in project design reviews, providing risks and mitigations for the project safety related issues. Position reports to Oshkosh Defense, LLC, Oshkosh, WI, but may work remotely. Domestic travel required up to 10% of time to support onsite meetings and workshops.

Qualifications : Requires a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, software engineering, or related field, and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in functional safety for automotive.
