Job Title: Mechanical Assembler
Job Description: As a Mechanical Assembler, you will be integral to the manufacturing process, responsible for operating assembly stations to attach final panels using hand drills for COTS (Commercial Off-The-Shelf) boards. Your role includes performing basic quality control to ensure the boards meet standards as they pass through the machine. During slower periods, you will prepare materials for upcoming builds and assist in other areas as needed. This position involves working on a variety of products, as our site manufactures 20 different COTS variations.
Responsibilities:
Operate assembly stations to attach final panels using hand drills for COTS boards.
Perform basic quality control on the boards as they pass through the machine.
Prepare materials for upcoming builds during slower periods.
Assist in other areas as needed.
Read and follow SOPs from the production site.
Move, lift, and stand to load materials into the feeder, with some materials weighing up to 20 lbs.
Essential Skills:
3+ years of experience in mechanical assembly, preferably in the electronics field.
Experience with assembly and surface-mount technology.
Ability to read and follow SOPs from the production site.
Ability to move, lift, and stand to load materials up to 20 lbs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Knowledge of how to be productive during downtime on the floor.
Experience in the assembly of other components and preparation for the next board.
Ability to plan tasks based on SOPs.
