Workforce Development
Type of Position: Part-time Temporary, Non-Exempt
Work Schedule, Hours per week: varies, 12 hours per week
Pay Range: \$15.00 - \$18.20 and determined based on relevant years
of work experience.

Position Summary: Act as the first point of contact and front desk
receptionist for guests visiting the Johnson County Adult Education
(JCAE) center and provide office and classroom support to Adult Basic
Education (ABE)/General Educational Development (GED)/English as a
Second Language (ESL) instructors and JCAE leadership.
Required Qualifications:
- May assist less-experienced team members. Requires a High School
Diploma and 3+ years of related experience.

Position Details: Job duties include but are not limited to:
- Greet the public and provide program information (phone and in
person) regarding enrollment and participation in ABE/GED/ESL
classes.
- Assist with safety, security, and emergency preparedness procedures
and communicate logistics relating to safety, security, and
facilities needs
- Assist classroom instructors with student outreach, classroom
materials, and information and ensure the availability of supplies
and printed materials for instructors.
- Provide support to instructors and track student attendance hours
and other required data for the purpose of monitoring and reporting
to maintain financial funding.
- Assist with data entry and verification into a state database and
perform file organization and maintenance utilizing secure protocols
working with confidential records.
- Register students for classes, accept payments, and apply standard
bookkeeping procedures.
- Provide support to JCAE leadership through ad hoc project
coordination, process document production, event planning, data
system maintenance, document creation, and collaboration with
overall management for quality outcomes.
