Shire Marketing Lead for Factor 8 portfolio in Haematology Franchise (Associate Director) in Paddington, United Kingdom
The primary role of our successful Marketing Lead for Factor 8 portfolio in Haematology Franchise will be a pivotal commercial leader with responsibility for all Marketing Activities for a suite of Shire’s key strategic Haemophilia brands in a highly dynamic market.
This role is reporting to and works closely with the Franchise Head Hematology. It requires strong leadership across several functions (field sales, access, regulatory, etc.) in an International matrix organisation and has high visibility with Senior Management both in the UK/Ireland cluster and also with the Shire leadership internationally.
Importantly, this role is also expected to build strong relationships with external stakeholders and customers. It requires experience in rare diseases, product launches and tender markets.

Serve as a key member of the commercial team and contribute new ideas and approaches to help build cutting-edge commercial platforms
Lead the launch of ADYNOVI and myPKFit App
Lead marketing input to Factor 8 tender shaping
Lead marketing input to ADVATE tender win pull through
Provide strategic marketing direction for the Factor 8 portfolio
Foster strong partnerships with medical affairs, market access, sales, legal, regulatory and other functions to ensure aligned objectives and implementation of brand strategies
Partner with Shire international colleagues and functions to leverage Shire international resources and best practices to drive UK strategies
Lead the development and execution of the Brand Operational Plan and support the delivery and implementation of the core business planning activities.
Ensure that the relevant product(s) and therapy area knowledge is disseminated across the Shire business to allow for a consistent and coordinated approach to our customers
Lead the development of specific strategies for key customer groups across the relevant product(s)
Creates innovative content for HCP education platforms, including peer-to-peer. Drives creation of HCP-facing digital and print materials for field use in collaboration with our strategic brand agency
Brief and monitor agencies to ensure integrated marketing communications strategy is reflected in all activities and that communication goals are met
Interpret and communicate key environmental changes and associated opportunities and threats posed to relevant product(s), and develop scenario plans to optimize the opportunities or mitigate threats
Serve as a subject matter expert for the product and the treatment landscape
Create lasting and mutually beneficial relationships with KOLs.
Work with the Regional Business Manager / Business Leader and Learning and Development Team to ensure that tools, materials and programs are clearly briefed and implemented effectively.
Ensure adherence to Shire SOPs and policies at all times
Ensure copy complies with company processes and ABPI Code of Practice.
Education & Experience Requirements:
University Degree in Life Sciences/Business or equivalent. Preferably a second degree (Master, PhD or MBA)
You will be a strong team player and will have strong interpersonal and communication skills
Significant experience in pharmaceutical sales leadership, marketing leadership, tender management, project management is desirable
Have a track record of leading high performing commercial projects that deliver exceptional results. Strong analytical, project management, fiscal management and decision making skills
Experience operating in a matrix organisation
Self-starter, able to complete tasks and manage to deadlines
Fluent in written and spoken English
Highly competent with PC (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM systems
