Job Role a nd Responsibilities
VMware is looking for a talented individual and team player to fill a highly visible role in our Worldwide Multi-Cloud organization. The Multi-Cloud Tools and Acceleration Program Lead , will rally colleagues to think creatively and facilitate daily GTM functions for VMware’s Multi-Cloud offerings. Ability to establish a unified program vision among team members from disparate and independently goaled functional areas. As a candidate for this role, you will have a proven track record of leading Multi-Cloud strategy development and transformation in high-tech companies, specifically driving a shift from Product to Solution selling and a transformation to Cloud and SaaS business models by leveraging new tools. This is a critical role that will help VMware transform our Multi-Cloud strategy to support our growth to a $20B company.
The responsibilities of this role include working within the VMware Sales & Services organization to build strategies that will drive Multi-Cloud product growth and drive business in new markets leveraging our existing and emerging routes-to-market and strategic partnerships. This role will be involved in all aspects of strategy development, best practices creation, tools as well as defining programs that will be critical to realizing success. This individual must be very strong at working cross-functionally at all levels of the organization and have a track record of constructively disturbing the Status Quo.
The successful candidate will be a ‘Strategic Doer’ with great energy, initiative and, leadership qualities that inspire teaming and trust to influence cross-functional teams in support of defining and evolving our Multi-Cloud strategy and practices.
The Multi-Cloud Acceleration Leader works with a broad set of stakeholders and cross-functional teams and will need to quickly establish credibility and confidence with:
Service Product Management
SupportGTM strategydefinitionforMulti-CloudVMware offerings, led by internal and external research, benchmarking andanalytics
Assess the effectiveness of current GTM strategy, refine and optimizeaccordingly
Lead efforts to create tools and best practices for technical sellers to leverage in day to day engagement with customers.
EvangelizeMulti-CloudGTM strategy by engaging cross-functional teams including Sales, Services, Customer Success, Finance, Business Ops and Product Marketing/Management
Provide thought leadership, perform business analysis and support execution of high-impact strategic projects and mission-critical initiatives as part of the sales leadershipteam
Drive alignment and best practices application across regions and shared functions to implement the Salesand Partner GTM strategyglobally
Analyze market trends and customer feedback to anticipate customer needs, features, and functional requirements from which the GTM and Engineering teams can design, build, test and implement newofferings
Balance strategy with operations to ensure that models can be effectivelyimplemented
Create best practices forbest in classproduct to sales roadmap discussion.
Track record ofprogrammanagement and leadership skills required to drive rollout of solutions.
Ability to balance strategy with tactics, intuition with analysis, and corporate objectives with customer success.
The courage to challenge processes that are inefficient or counter-productive, andestablish new processes to improve efficiency.
Self-sufficient in preparing content, collateral, and presentations. Must be capable of creating and delivering effective presentations.
Experience in Cloud and SaaS GTMand selling
