DESCRIPTION
Job Summary:\
Under the general direction of the Director of Technical Services, the
Manager of Engineering is responsible and accountable for leading and
managing all of the technical and administrative aspects of the
Engineering department including design engineering according to
applicable Codes and standards, generation of project documentation and
fabrication drawings, and assisting in driving continuous improvement of
the technical competence of the organization. Position will assume the
role of technical knowledge leader for mechanical design within the
organization.\

Main Duties/Responsibilities:
Demonstrate and instill the company\'s core values throughout the
organization.\
Ensure a safe working environment is maintained at all times by
following and promoting safety policies and procedures.\
In collaboration with other support functions, strive to do things right
the first time.\
Provide technical guidance and direction to the Engineering personnel.\
Develop engineering schedules and distribute workload to the appropriate
Engineering personnel.\
Lead the review of current processes, procedures, standards, and
guidelines for opportunities to improve the safety, quality, and or cost
competitiveness of TFES products.\
Champion training and active learning programs to ensure engineering
personnel maintain the expertise and skills necessary to support the
Company\'s core product lines and to meet organizational expectations.\
Ensure the Engineering department is in full compliance with all
applicable Codes, standards, and Quality Manual requirements.\
Assist in the development and implementation of manufacturing and
quality control standards and specifications.\
Ensure the Engineering department remains current on all rules and
requirements of applicable codes and standards.\
Communicate clear expectations to Engineering personnel and keep them
informed of matters pertaining to their job.\
Conduct periodic performance reviews and other administrative duties for
the Engineering department.\
Provide technical direction for the resolution of major field and/or
shop related problems.\
Ensure all in-house programs are accurate and up to date with current
codes.\
Provide technical support for Sales and Proposal Managers during the
inquiry process.
