Our Opportunity
North American Lighting (NAL) is looking for an Environmental Engineer - I to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide support to the organization regarding environmental issues in order to ensure its compliance with federal, state, and local environmental legislation.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Your Priorities
Identifies, assesses, and helps to resolve problems concerning environmental issues.
Coordinates all NAL environmental programs and systems with ISO 14001.
Coordinates and maintains the management of the organization’s International Material Data System (IMDS) and equivalent reporting systems.
Maintains all records associated with assuring compliance with federal, state, and local environmental legislation.
Provides technical assistance to manufacturing and engineering operations regarding materials, processes, and equipment in order to assure compliance with environmental requirements.
Assists facilities with hazardous waste management, and with obtaining and maintaining appropriate permits.
Requirements
Your Background
Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering, Earth Science, Environmental Science, or a related technical discipline, plus 0 to 2 years of experience with industrial environmental programs.
Experience in environmental engineering in the automotive coatings industry and/or multistate environmental experience is preferred.
Salary Range: $65,000-$75,000
