Christian Center of Park City Seasonal PC Food Pantry Associate (Summer 2024) in Park City, Utah

Title: Seasonal Food Pantry Associate & Driver

Location: Park City

Base Pay: $16-$17/hour

Availability: Mon-Fri, up to 25 hours/week

Primary Responsibility:

The Food Pantry Associate & Driver role is responsible for delivery pick-ups and serving as a front-line customer service contact for the Park City Food Pantry at the Christian Center of Park City (CCPC). Additionally, supporting the Park City Food Pantry Coordinator and their teammates in reaching collective goals aimed to serve our community at their point of need.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Pick up grocery rescue from multiple grocery stores, restaurants, and other businesses while maintaining food safety protocols and best practices.

  • Manage daily activity of the food pantry, including general customer service, food distribution, grocery rescue pick-ups, customer registration/intake while maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the pantry.

  • Be willing and able to work closely with volunteers and staff in a team-based environment, training and following up with volunteers as appropriate.

  • Operate point of sale system with accuracy and precision.

  • Maintain and follow CCPC’s guidelines for financial integrity and accountability regarding sales transactions, cash handling, deposits and donations.

  • Maintain an overall professional appearance and atmosphere that aligns with that of CCPC.

  • Work collaboratively alongside and in conjunction with the Food Pantry Manager to ensure the smooth and successful operation of the pantry. 

  • Assist the Director of Programs and Food Pantry Manager in any other areas when necessary.

  • Foster a positive attitude toward change, accepting change with grace and excitement. 

  • Able to maintain strict confidentiality in all matters. 

  • Arrive on time and manage time efficiently so that pick-ups meet the expectations of business managers.

  • Ability to safely drive a medium sized box truck.

  • Ability to frequently lift 40-50 lbs. in a safe manner

    Qualifications:

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multi-task environment and maintain a positive attitude in the midst of change. 

  • Strong relational, communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred but not required.

  • Safe driving

  • Current Food Handlers Permit
