We are looking for a Financial Analyst, Sales/Brand Finance interested in starting a SWEET career as part of our Finance team at PIM’s Headquarters in Park Ridge.

Overview:

TheFinancial Analystwill provide financial and business decision-making support to the Brand Finance leader to achieve profitable growth. The Financial Analyst, Sales/Brand Finance (S/B Analyst) will drive recommendations for P&L enhancement and efficient/optimized resource utilization. The S/B Analyst will partner cross-functionally to analyze revenue and profit drivers related to volume/price/assortment (mix) to provide financial insights.

Individual Responsibilities:

  • Provide financial support to Manager, Brand Finance and ad-hoc support to Sales Finance team

  • Generate pro-forma P&Ls for both new and existing items while working cross-functionally with key stakeholders to validate P&L inputs

  • Assist with ERP transition of Infor M3, to SAP, and development of new department processes through utilization of SAP tools

  • Review marketing-related accounts to confirm costs are captured in quarterly customer P&Ls

  • Ensure controls are in place to accurately report promotional activities via trade promotional management tool (Telus) and provide ROI analysis

  • Identify spend patterns versus historical norms, forecasted plans, and competitive landscape to recommend business opportunities.

  • Collaborate with Sales and Finance Leadership to highlight customer investment opportunities and efficiencies

  • Create and maintain a dashboard to measure Seasonal/Holiday performance

  • Provide analysis on cost reduction initiatives

  • Participate on special projects as assigned by department leadership

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, business administration, or a related field

  • 1-3 years of internship experience, extracurricular activities or relevant work experience in finance, accounting, business, or analytics

  • 6 months or more of CPG related business experience

  • Ability to understand financial concepts, financial markets, financial statements, investment analysis, and/or risk management concepts

  • Strong analytical skills, working with numbers, analyzing financial data, and drawing meaningful insights from it

  • Attention to detail, critical thinking skills and the ability to solve problems independently

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills: Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Word, Teams, Power BI (ranked in priority)

  • Professional level presentation skills to various levels of organizational leaders

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPG experience in the snacking and/or confectionery categories

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills; VBA, macro-enabled workbooks, pivot tables, data analysis tools, and financial modeling

  • Trade Promotion Management software experience

  • Exposure to ERP applications (SAP preferred)

    Worksite:

  • The PIM Brands Global Headquarters is in Park Ridge, NJ

  • The role requires working on-site: Monday thru Thursday; Work from Home on Friday

    Travel:

  • Estimated <10-15%; to manufacturing locations, trade shows, retailer/broker/customer business reviews, etc.
