Team Leader - Home Claims
In this exciting career opportunity, you will be responsible for the day to day oversight and management of a team of Claims professionals across a range of portfolios. The primary requirement will be to support and develop the team to ensure a high standard of work and the delivery of exceptional customer service to our clients and their customers.
What are my accountabilities?
Provide leadership, direction and communication to team members
Regular monitoring and reporting on daily workflow, SLAs and KPIs
Recruitment and training of new staff and identifying/implementing individual professional development opportunities
Preparing and presenting management information and customer reports
Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement strategies within the business and overseeing projects to drive efficiency and effectiveness
Set colleagues up for success by delivering coaching and mentoring, informal feedback and address underperformance
Conduct regular formal performance appraisals and collaborate with colleagues to prepare professional development plans
About you:
Experience in people management, leadership and team engagement
Sound knowledge of the insurance industry (claims lifecycle) including the legislative framework, applicable codes and products.
An understanding of the principle and procedures for processing insurance claims
Knowledge of claims regulations, legislations and compliance requirements
Strong data analysis and reporting skills
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Thrive in a team environment and motivated by success
Naturally compassionate and solution focused
