The Role

The Senior Analyst of Operations Planning will assist in the analysis & execution of the Wyndham Hotels & Resorts competitive intelligence & customer experience programs, which is critical in supporting the operational, revenue generation, brand, loyalty and customer strategies of the organization.

The role will be a primary contact for the following teams: operations, marketing, digital, loyalty, finance, & other related franchise services. This individual will query, model, and analyze large quantities of data for both recurring and ad hoc reporting. In addition, the analyst will assist in preparing monthly and quarterly insights, periodic brand presentations, insights and analysis.

What you'll do

  • Generates innovative insights, working with business partners in developing and analyzing data to drive actionable results.

  • Provide ad hoc analysis to assist Field Operations & Salesforce teams.

  • Generate out-of-the-box reports & exports through data querying, modeling & ETL methods.

  • Lead cross-functional teams responsible for implementing and optimizing the customer experience and competitive intelligence platforms.

  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, annual reports requested by WHR leadership.

  • Manage incoming questions, concerns, or issues from all WHR customers & partners.

  • Understand third party portal data, processes & workflows to assist team & partners with escalations.

  • Keep up with industry trends and best practices and provide industry trend data, competitive, & holistic analysis.

  • Prioritize the needs of franchisees and guests, ensuring that the platforms deliver value and enhances the overall experience.

Required Qualifications/Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business related field, master’s degree is preferred not required.

  • Must have 3-4 years’ experience in an analytical role.

  • 1-2 years of SQL experience generating custom reporting required.

  • Experience in hospitality, travel or tourism is an advantage.

  • Knowledge of and hands on experience with third party portals and their reporting capabilities.

  • Strong experience using Microsoft Excel; functions, formulas, pivot tables, v-lookups; data modeling, VBA, or ETL plugins a plus.

  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or InforBirst, as well as Salesforce or other CRM platforms.

  • Experience evaluating large qualitative data sets required.
