Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. As a Senior AP Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the accounts payable process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all transactions. You will work closely with vendors, internal departments, and management to streamline processes, resolve discrepancies, and maintain strong vendor relationships. This is a Temporary to Hire role.
Responsibilities:
-Manage the full cycle of accounts payable processes, including invoice processing, verification, coding, and payment disbursement.
-Review and reconcile vendor statements, resolve discrepancies, and maintain accurate vendor records.
-Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements.
-Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve AP processes, identify areas for efficiency gains, and implement best practices.
-Prepare month-end and year-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
Requirements
-5+ years of experience in accounts payable
-Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
-Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and MS Excel.
-Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
-Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
-Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
