Mass Markets Web Developer in Pasig City, Philippines

POSITION OVERVIEW

MCI is a rapidly growing, industry-leading business process outsourcing and software development organization, and we are seeking a Web Developer to join our team. In this role, you'll work with a team responsible for website changes, updates to code, new feature implementation, website troubleshooting, Search Engine Optimization, and assisting our marketing team with technical challenges. Candidates experienced with Wordpress and Hubspot site builder experience are highly encouraged to apply. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

The Web Developer is responsible for ensureing This role will work closely with a team of developers to deliver interactive, scalable web apps.

  • Substantial day-to-day coding, performing profiling, optimizing, and general troubleshooting

  • Engage in technical planning, design, and code reviews

  • Participate with other engineers to help plan the company's long-term engineering roadmap and help identify improvement areas

  • Perform maintenance programming for existing versions

  • Perform custom programming as assigned

  • Fix defects and add features to the software

  • Interact with key partners and internal users regarding timelines, technical issues, and infrastructure integration

  • Provide recommendations for improvements in the overall development process

  • Stay current with trends, techniques, technology, and other factors impacting the job

  • Actively participate in team meetings and offer recommendations/ideas on design projects

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS

Qualified candidates should be positive, driven, and confident individuals that will represent the company and its customers professionally at all times. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • University degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering or equivalent experience

  • 2+ years of technology development and implementation experience

  • Experience in a general-purpose programming language

  • Experience making UI/UX design decisions

  • C# and .NET framework experience

  • A pro-active communicator who solves minor problems before they become significant obstacles

  • Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple tasks for several projects at the same time

  • Ability to achieve short and long-term objectives with minimal direction

  • Known for reliability, responsiveness, attention to detail, and ability to deliver high-quality work product

  • Results-oriented, resourceful individual with interpersonal skills and the ability to lead, follow, collaborate and influence

  • Wordpress and Hubspot site builder experience a plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This job operates in a professional office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be largely sedentary and will be required to sit/stand for long periods while using a computer and telephone headset. The employee will be regularly required to operate a computer and other office equipment, including a phone, copier, and printer. The employee may occasionally be required to move about the office to accomplish tasks; reach in any direction; raise or lower objects, move objects from place to place, hold onto objects, and move or exert force up to forty (40) pounds.
