POSITION: Administrative Coordinator of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusivity (DEI) Services - (FT)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under the leadership of the ESBOCES Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusivity (DEI), the responsibilities of the Administrative Coordinator of DEI Services would include the following:

  • Provide professional development services focusing on diversity, equity, and inclusivity for ESBOCES internal and external stakeholders

  • Assist the Director of DEI in implementing equity-focused strategic goals across the region/agency

  • Provide support to lead teacher teams to review various forms of data with an equity lens and support building equity plan initiatives

  • Site coordinator for mentoring and family engagement initiatives

  • Supporting the Director of DEI in coordinating the regional DEI shared service with school districts, community-based organizations, and external partners

  • Co-managing the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusivity webreg professional development account.

  • Providing training and support for ESBOCES regional equity consultants (on an ‘as needed’ basis)

  • Continuously participate in learning opportunities to update professional knowledge, develop turn-key modules and resources for culturally sustaining/relevant curriculum and instruction

  • Flexible scheduling to support professional development needs of various stakeholders

  • Other administrative duties as assigned by the Director of DEI

    START DATE: August 26, 2024

    SALARY: $132,805.00

Job Qualifications

  • NYS SBL/SAS and/or SDL/SDA Certification required

  • SWD Certification preferred, but not required

  • Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Certification preferred, but not required

  • Three (3) years of experience in educational leadership preferred, but not required

  • Knowledge and understanding of NYSED’s Culturally Responsive-Sustaining Education Framework

  • Knowledge and understanding of restorative practices, family engagement initiatives, and SEL competencies

  • Ability to work independently; self-motivated, strong communication and problem-solving skills

  • Experience coordinating and delivering professional development for a variety of stakeholders

  • Demonstrate commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment
