**Job Title: Administrative Assistant

*Location:* Paulding County Economic Development Office

*Position Type:* Full-Time

Monday-Friday

8:00am-4:00pm

Salary:

$45,000 up to $55,000 depending on experience

*Job Summary:*

We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Administrative Assistant/Office Manager to oversee the day-to-day administrative operations of our office. The Administrative Assistant/Office Manager will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of the office, supporting the economic development team, and contributing to the success of our initiatives. This position requires a proactive individual with excellent communication and multitasking skills.

*Key Responsibilities:*

  • Manage and coordinate office operations and procedures, ensuring organizational effectiveness and efficiency.

  • Maintain office supplies inventory by checking stock and ordering necessary items.

  • Handle all incoming and outgoing correspondence, including mail, emails, and phone calls.

  • Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments, and events, including logistics and preparation of materials.

  • Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and other documents as needed.

  • Oversee and manage office budget, expenses, and financial records. Maintain and oversee QuickBooks accounts and financial records.

  • Provide administrative support to the economic development team, including project tracking and data management.

  • Liaise with external partners, stakeholders, and community members to facilitate communication and collaboration. Including the development of press releases and other communication pieces.

  • Ensure compliance with office policies and procedures.

  • Maintain a welcoming and professional office environment.

  • Assist in the planning and execution of economic development programs and initiatives.

  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the goals of the office.

*Qualifications:*

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree in business administration or related field preferred.

  • Preferred experience as an Administrative Assistant/Office Manager, Administrative Assistant, or similar role.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and QuickBooks

  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

  • Familiarity with basic accounting and budgeting principles.

  • Experience in a public sector or economic development setting is a plus.
