THE POSITION

If so, the Department of Human Services, Bureau of Child Support Enforcement (BCSE) is looking for motivated Audit Specialist 2s to join their dynamic team of professionals. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As an Audit Specialist 2, you will perform developmental, analytical, evaluative, and administrative duties in support of the BCSE. You will be responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating state Title IV-D Child Support Enforcement (CSE) Program Objectives, financial and audit policy, procedures, and operations to ensure compliance with federal Title IV-D Program requirements and improve county Domestic Relations Sections performance. Maintaining a current knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and federal and state laws, rules, and regulations is essential.
Within this role, you will be responsible for providing ongoing administrative and program support to an Audit Specialist 3 and providing technical assistance, training, and guidance to local county agencies regarding federal financial accounting. You will develop and deliver training to local county agencies and BCSE staff on new and revised fiscal policies and procedures, in addition to investigating and responding to questions and problems related to federal fiscal spending.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment
Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
One year as an Audit Specialist 1; or
Two years of professional auditing experience and a bachelor's degree including or supplemented by eighteen [18] credits in accounting and auditing; or
Any equivalent combination of experience and training which included the required eighteen [18] credits in accounting and auditing.
