Your Role and Responsibilities

We are looking for a Maximo Consultant/ Developer to join our Perth Consulting business. Ideally you will have a proven implementation track record on key phases of full lifecycle projects with outstanding client / project references and be able to hit the ground running as a confident and professional communicator who prides themselves on delivery excellence / successful Maximo implementations through strong team delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse requirements and create technical design leveraging Maximo capabilities

  • Maximo configuration changes, including development and unit testing

  • Integration design and development with other applications

  • Collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams (architects, project managers, functional consultants) to achieve the best outcomes for the project

  • Management of your own work packages

Candidates must exhibit the following key skills:

  • Strong Asset Management development expertise is essential combined with a deep knowledge of the Maximo portfolio (5+ years).

  • Sound understanding of package implementation methodologies

  • Ability to analyse and undertake risk assessment and mitigation treatments of complex changes

  • Client facing / consultant experience

  • Strong technical skills, including Maximo architecture, application server configuration, database structures, and systems integration - e.g., Java, Automation Scripts, SQL, Reporting

  • Strong Asset Management Functional knowledge and skills

  • Strong skills in analysis, design, and problem-solving

  • Ability to produce and/or contribute to documentation of high-quality

  • Ability to articulate the solution to the client in line with their objectives

  • Consistently working as part of a project team focused on client success

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Deep Asset Management functional and domain knowledge and experience

  • Deep technical experience with IBM Maximo V7.6 and/or MAS 8

  • Experience implementing Maximo Anywhere and/or Maximo Mobile

  • Experience with systems integrations using the Maximo Integration Framework (MIF) and integration tools and methodologies (ESB, REST APIs, SOAP)

  • Proven implementation experience covering functional and technical domains

  • Use of Requirements Management and Story Board tools to manage execution and collaboration

  • Demonstration of understanding of software development methods and techniques (Agile, Waterfall, etc.)

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

Desired Attributes and Skills:

  • Knowledge and understanding of Cloud Computing (AWS, Azure, OpenShift)

  • Specific industry domain expertise such as Oil & Gas, Transportation, Energy & Utilities

  • Knowledge of CI/CD practices

  • Team or Squad Leadership

  • Experience in coaching junior consultants

  • IBM Maximo certification
